Beat Spotlight, the BSA’s official e-journal, was created to foster a sense of inclusivity and community between the diverse groups of scholars, fans, neophytes, and supporters who champion the Beat Generation. While the Beat Studies Association is an academic organization, we recognize and embrace the various ways of understanding and engaging with the Beats. We strive to honor this perspective by featuring a multitude of voices, approaches, and contributions in each issue of Beat Spotlight.
