Researching, writing and teaching about the Beat Generation movement

About - The Beat Studies Association

Mission Statement

The Beat Studies Association celebrates and explores the work of the Beat writers and artists. We welcome students, teachers, and independent scholars to share their views on the current trends, challenges, and state of Beat Studies. We encourage participation in future directions that probe and evaluate Beat writers and artists in larger contexts and conversations. To these ends, the BSA supports both seasoned and emerging scholars at BSA conferences, on panels, in our newsletter, and through other opportunities for critical exchange.
